Political Observers Mark and Ruth Ann Zaccaria Endorse Ray McKay
“Ray represents all the best qualities of native Rhode Islanders,” Ruth Ann said. “His long tenure as president of the statewide Rhode Island Republican Assembly has made him an acknowledged voice in what’s best for folks who prefer to govern themselves.” Ray McKay served as RIRA president from 2005 to 2014.
Mark added, “No one in this race has spent more time honing his position on so wide a range of local and national issues.” Mark listed matters ranging from foreign affairs and military challenges facing America, to rule of law under a Congress that seems unwilling to act and even more unwilling to be specific as to the limits of any legislation it does pass.
“One of the greatest dangers facing our republic today is the fact that new legislation is immediately turfed off to unelected bureaucrats, who use it create the labyrinthian regulatory environment in which our economy is mired,” Mr. Zaccaria noted.
“Rhode Island’s next U.S. Senator needs to be someone who is not mired in matters of ethical trading and who can also articulate challenges beyond just that of climate change.”
The two political observers said, “We urge Rhode Islanders to support Ray McKay for US Senate!”
Mark and Ruth Ann Zaccaria are long time Rhode Island residents who have since retired to New Hampshire. Each has run for office in the Ocean State and each has held appointed positions in North Kingstown. Mark was an elected member of the North Kingstown Town Council. He was also elected Chair of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party. Mark and Ruth Ann are advisors and supporters of Ray McKay’s 2024 campaign for the US Senate.
“I am honored and humbled by this endorsement,” Mr. McKay said. “Not only are the Zaccarias personal friends of mine, but they are respected in Rhode Island Republican political circles.”
